As a family centred organisation Firschance has made the decision to close our service tomorrow (Tuesday 12th November 2019) as a result of the NSW Rural Fire Service warning that the Hunter Region is set for Catastrophic Fire Conditions.

At the heart of our decision was the welfare of the children and families we support and our staff at Firstchance. Please take care tomorrow, be prepared and stay safe. The old saying "better safe than sorry" really works here.

If your child had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow be assured that you will NOT be charged a cancellation fee. If your child's school is open tomorrow, please advise the school of our temporary closure.

At this stage we expect to resume business as usual on Wednesday 13th November 2019. We will keep you updated if this changes.

As you are reading this, now is as good a time as any to ensure you have a bush fire survival plan in place for your family.
