Parents and Learning (PaL) is a unique grass roots, family-centred program developed by Indigenous people for Indigenous people. PaL programs were first developed in 2001 and have been implemented in 4 states across Australia. PaL has a strong track records and proven success because it is a structured program that has inbuilt flexibility.

The PaL program supports Aboriginal families from the  Karuah Aboriginal Community, and Aboriginal families who attend Nikinpa, Awabakal Glendale Preschool and Awabakal Wickham Preschool.

The program supports families within the community. The program is delivered in the family home and within a group setting weekly. The program is delivered by8 Aboriginal Tutors from within the community to work alongside families.

To date the PaL team have supported 148 families.  And the feedback from families has been overwhelmingly positive:
