What Drew me to the Firstchance 

I have worked with boards throughout my professional life, including in the not-for-profit sector.  For some time I have thinking about volunteering on a not-for-profit board as a way to use my skills and experience to give back to my community, and as a means to continue to develop personally and professionally.  A colleague who knew that I was interested in opportunities to join a board recommended Firstchance as an impactful organisation with strong purpose, values, and governance.  I was very keen to find out more and it quickly became clear to me that Firstchance is group of highly capable and incredibly committed people who make real differences in young lives.  It is a great privilege to be part of the Firstchance Board.

  • Master of Business Administration with Distinction 
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Commendation 
  • Bachelor of Laws, English and European Law 
  •  Admitted as a Lawyer in New South Wales 
  • Admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales.  

Experience I Bring to Firstchance

I am a practising lawyer with over twenty years’ experience of corporate and commercial legal work, including in a not-for-profit context.  I have predominantly worked in corporate legal roles within the healthcare sector, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and hospitals.  Currently, I work for a major supplier of heavy equipment for the resources and construction industries.  My roles have given me a broad range of experience including corporate/M&A, commercial, finance, disputes, governance, regulatory, and compliance.  In addition to my legal qualifications and experience, I have an MBA and I have been an active member of several senior leadership teams.
