Sustainable Development Goals

At Firstchance, we are proud to align our work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—a global blueprint to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030. These values reflect our commitment to inclusion, equity, and empowerment for children and families in our community.

We’ve identified six key SDGs that directly align with our mission and the work we do every day.

📌 Our Priority Goals

Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being

Target 3.8 – Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all.

We provide equitable, high-quality early intervention and allied health services to children aged 0–12 years with a disability or developmental delay. Our work supports families in accessing essential care and achieving long-term outcomes.

Goal 4: Quality Education

Targets 4.1, 4.2, 4.5 – Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Our team works closely with families, early childhood educators, and school staff to help children access and thrive in learning environments. We aim to remove barriers to education and support each child’s development in safe and inclusive settings.

Goal 5: Gender Equality

Target 10.2 – Empower and promote the inclusion of all.

We are dedicated to reducing inequality by supporting children’s inclusion in community and economic life. By providing early supports, we build a strong foundation for lifelong participation and contribution.

Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities

Target 10.2 – Empower and promote the inclusion of all.

We are dedicated to reducing inequality by supporting children’s inclusion in community and economic life. By providing early supports, we build a strong foundation for lifelong participation and contribution.

Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

Targets 16.3, 16.7 – Promote inclusive societies and decision-making.

We advocate for families and children, helping them champion their rights and be heard. Through inclusive decision-making and support, we strive to create a culture of equity and respect within Firstchance and beyond.

Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Target 17.17 – Strengthen partnerships for sustainable development.

Our success is grounded in collaboration. We partner with government, businesses, communities, and families to enhance service delivery, build sustainable programs, and amplify our collective impact.
