Early Childhood Supports:

These supports are classified under the Improved Living Skills Bundle. They include transdisciplinary early childhood intervention supports, therapy supports, specialised group early childhood interventions and Parent/Carer supports.

This package includes support by a ‘primary service provider’ from Firstchance who will be your main point of contact and service provision. They will also coordinate the involvement of other professionals in the team in your home and in your community as required.

Firstchance employs a team of highly trained professionals including: Psychologists, Specialist Educators, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist, Family Workers and Developmental Support Workers. You can choose to the combination of professionals to be involved in supporting your child based on individual need. The time and frequency of support your receive from the team is also flexible to suit the needs of your family.

A major benefit of the Transdisciplinary Early Childhood Interventions package is the flexibility of support available from a range of professionals.

As a long standing early childhood intervention provider in the Hunter, all Firstchance team members have extensive experience in working with children aged 0-9 years (paediatrics) and with working as part of a team to support families.

“Firstchance have provided my daughter & our family with continued support over the past 5 years. The staff are highly skilled & professional & have enabled my daughter to develop & grow into the amazing little person that she is. This has been done in a fun, playful & interactive way with ample education provided to me so as I can continue this support between appointments.”
