As part of our ongoing efforts to address the complex challenges many families face, we are thrilled to announce the launch of a new Family Worker – Intersectionality role. This vital position, made possible through the generous support of Port Waratah Coal Services, will enhance the way we provide early intervention services by offering dedicated support to families facing additional barriers, including financial hardship, domestic violence, and child protection concerns. How This Role Will Make a Difference The Family Worker will:✅ Provide direct support to families with many needs, ensuring they can access the right services and resources.✅ Support Therapists and educators, allowing them to focus on delivering high-quality early intervention services.✅ Enhance collaboration between families, community services, and professionals, fostering a more integrated approach to care.✅ Strengthen advocacy efforts, using real-world data to highlight the need for continued investment in family support initiatives. Introducing Gina – Our First Family Worker We are proud to welcome Gina into this pioneering role! With extensive experience in family support and a deep passion for empowering families, Gina will be working closely with our team and the community to ensure that every child and their family has the best possible support for their needs. Looking Ahead This role is a pilot program designed to demonstrate the significant impact that dedicated family support can have on therapy outcomes, family stability, and community well-being. Our goal is to use this pilot to advocate for support to maintain and perhaps even expand this model in the future.
