A one-off group experience at Pulse Climbing Adamstown

Ready for a new climbing adventure?

This special school holiday session is for school aged children who have enjoyed our rock climbing group before, as well as children who would like to give it a go for the first time. Using a new environment at Adamstown, children can explore top-rope climbing or choose bouldering, with support from the Firstchance team throughout the session. Based on the venue information, Adamstown offers top-rope climbing and two separate bouldering areas.

What to expect

Our team will anchor the rope and support safety, so your child can focus on climbing, exploring movement, and joining in at their own pace.
If your child prefers to stick with bouldering, that’s welcome too.

What this group supports

This one-off program is designed to keep building on your child’s NDIS goals in a fun, active and supportive setting.

Children will have opportunities to:

  • build confidence trying something new
  • strengthen motor planning, coordination and whole-body strength
  • follow verbal and visual instructions in a real-life activity
  • practise turn-taking and participating alongside others
  • grow confidence connecting with peers in ways that feel comfortable for them
  • communicate choices, preferences and support needs
  • extend skills in a different environment with trusted therapist support

Why families might choose this group

For children who already know and enjoy rock climbing, this is a chance to extend their confidence in a different setting.
For children who have interest in rock climbing, it is a supported opportunity to try something new, and interact with peers who have a similar interest with therapist guidance and flexible participation options.

  • have previously participated in a Firstchance rock climbing group, or
  • are interested in trying climbing for the first time
